HTC 8S with Windows Phone 8 priced at Rs 19,260 in India

H TC today unveiled the HTC 8S, alongside the HTC 8X at a regional launch event in Singapore. The smartphone features the new Windows Phone 8 operating system, in addition to  the Beats Audio sound. The smartphone will be available starting from November in India at a price of Rs 19,260. The HTC 8S is a premium-looking matte finish  unlike most of the black slabs available today. It will be available in Fiesta Red and Atlantic Blue. HTC created the Windows Phone 8S  utilizing a three dimensional, pure uni-body design based on the Windows Phone Live Tiles.  The device has a sculpted, tapering body, which makes it feel quite thin in your hand. Nokia Lumia 800 gets a another price cut, now retailing for Rs. 18,867

After we saw price reductions for the  LG Optimus 4X HD  along with the  HTC One S and Desire V  this month, Nokia has slashed the price of its  Lumia 800  for a second time and is now retailing for Rs. 18,867 with online portal  Saholic . The Windows phone device was initially launched in November 2011 alongside the Lumia 710 . The device was criticised for being over-priced. The smartphone, which was positioned as Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone device, also faced somesoftware glitches post launch, though the impact was minimal in India. The Lumia 800 received its first price cut in March this year  and was made available for Rs. 23,790. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Pune

  Airtel has announced its 4G LTE services in Pune. The city becomes the third in the country after Kolkata and Bengaluru to get 4G services from Airtel.Pune users can check if Airtel 4G services are available in their area using the map on Airtel’s website. They can chose to buy the Airtel 4G dongle and services online. It is worth noting that like Kolkata and Bengaluru, at the moment, 4G can be used only for data services and not voice. The telecom operator has announced various 4G plans ranging from Rs. 999 for 6GB to Rs. 2,999 for 30GB of data. The plans are categorised under four heads: Break free (Rs.999 for 6GB); Break free Max (Rs1,399 for 9GB); Break free Ultra (Rs. 1,999 for 18GB) and Break free Ultimate (Rs. 2,999 for 30GB). Huawei and Airtel unveil India's first 4G smartphone, Huawei Ascend P1 LTE

Airtel and Huawei have teamed up to unveil India’s first LTE  (4G) smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE. The price of the device has not been yet revealed but speculations are it will be around Rs. 30,000. The Huawei Ascend P1 LTE supports 4G high speed wireless data on the LTE network and voice calls on the 3G network using Circuit Switched Voice Fall Back (CSFB voice) technology. The smartphone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Huawei Ascend P1 LTE sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touch display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass, 1GB of RAM, 4GB built-in storage, microSD card, and an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash. Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini officially announced

After a lot of rumors smaller version of Samsung Galaxy S3 over past few weeks, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S3 Mini at an event in Germany. Previously we knew that Galaxy S3 Mini existed, but they were short on the details. All we knew for sure was that the new smartphone had just a 4-inch screen. At today’s press event, Samsung let the rest of the details out of the bag. Broadband Internet at 1Gbps to make an appearance by mid-2013

The broadband speed limitation and the hefty charges incurred    has always been a major concern to the indian internet user. Well in case of connectivity speed, Telecom Infrastructure firm, Radius Infratel has revealed that residential broadband consumers may see downloads get speedier with ultra-fast download speeds reaching 1Gbps by mid-2013. The company has projected that these new changes may take effect across nine Indian cities.  “In the next six–nine months, world class 1,000 Mbps or 1Gbps (Gigabits per second) plans will be available in India to residential consumers. On connections like these, the same two hour HD movie will download in 30 seconds… A two-hour movie in high definition version will be about 2.2GB size, ” reports quoted Radius Infratel CEO Rajnish Wahi as saying. HTC One X+ is official - faster CPU, bigger battery, Sense 4+ and Jelly Bean

HTC One X+(plus) is the new successor to the current flagship smartphone HTC One X . After various rumored and leaks over the past month, the HTC One X+ is here with upgraded hardware compared to the original. The HTC One X+ (plus) is powered by a faster 1.7 GHz Tegra 3 AP37 CPU on-board, along with big 64GB of internal storage and a larger 2100 mAh battery.Some other specs that remain unchanged from the One X are,  1GB of on-board RAM, a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display, and an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor and HTC’s ImageSense chip. The front-faceiong camera  has undergone a small upgrade, though, jumping from 1.3MP to 1.6MP, and with this upgrade it gains the ability to use ImageSense. Facebook Redesigns Help Center To Suggest Answers, Completes Roll Out Of Support Dashboard

Facebook has launched a completely redesign Help Center , with the goal of making it easier for its Facebook users to find the information they need and get answers to their questions about the social network’s product and policies. This includes a new layout and design for the Help Center’s homepage, improved navigation, and the addition of a list of popular questions and top Facebook Pages which users can like in order to stay up-to-date on the topic and related tips. Facebook also  announced  that the  Support Dashboard , is now available to 100% of Facebook users worldwide. The most immediately noticeable change to the newly redesigned  Help Center  is the simplified layout, which now features six major topic as a tile intended to direct users to specific sections of the center.
